It is the wildlife’s breeding time and dogs might pose a threat to deer and birds, especially to young animals.
To prevent dogs from disturbing the wildlife, including barking at it, they must be kept on a leash at all times and are never to be left unattended.
This applies inside and 50 m outside the forests, and from April 1st till July 31st in the cantons of Aargau, Lucerne, Zurich and Zug. For other cantons please pay attention to signposting.
Also the dogs are not allowed to play on agricultural land till October 31st, if the grass is taller than 6 inches/15 cm.
Please respect not only your fellow humans and dogs, but also wildlife and and farmers’ properties.
